TREATMENT FACILITY DESCRIPTION

The permittee currently operates a Class I, 0.100 MGD activated sludge extended aeration treatment facility consisting of two (2) manual bar screens, two (2) concrete aerated flow equalization tanks, two

(2) concrete aeration tanks, two (2) concrete rectangular final clarifiers, ultraviolet light disinfection, post aeration, and one (1) aerobic digester. Sludge is dewatered and landfilled.

The collection system is comprised of 100% separate sanitary sewers by design with no overflow or bypass points.

Operator’s contract does not include the districts air vac and grinder pump collection system. However in order to properly operate the plant, a general knowledge of how the collection system works is needed. The plant is considered all facilities located at 4373 N Water St. Mexico IN.

Annual average daily flow is 0.024 MGD for 280 residential customers. There are no industrial or commercial accounts. This is operating at 25% of plant capacity.

Plant is inside a heated building which necessitates a 24/7 air handling unit. Plant was built in 2013 and has always had satisfactory IDEM inspections.

On site hours have averaged around 1000 hours per year. This number does not include lab work.
