After Market Sales Rep - Flygt Pumps

The After Market Sales Rep will be responsible for taking care of customers within their assigned Indiana territory through the development of Flygt pumping systems and solutions, and aftermarket sales and services in the wastewater treatment plant and collections markets.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  1. Solve customers’ fluid handling opportunities by applying application technologies to provide pumps, services and solutions to customers
  1. Grow sales volume of territory accounts in compliance with company’s policies
  2. Identify, develop and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of Flygt submersible pumps
  3. Build consultative relationships primarily with municipal end users and utility contractors to position Flygt solutions to solve customer’s issues
  4. Create synergy opportunities for cross-business consultative selling based on an understanding and awareness of the Xylem solution set
  5. Be alert to competitive products and practices and keep management informed of market conditions, competitive scope and approach, and any trends in the market place
  6. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Alternatively, previous pumps or service background/experience may be be considered
  2. 2+ years’ sales or sales related experience (pump or process industry preferred)
  3. Ability to present product education seminars to municipal end users
  4. Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Teamwork and organizational skills
  6. Ability to provide superior customer service
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications
