Conference Attendees Win Trips to 2024 NRWA WaterPro Conference!

Wednesday, May 1, 2024

The Alliance of Indiana Rural Water teamed up with sponsors Covalen and Midwestern Engineers, Inc. to give away an all-inclusive trip for two to the 2024 National Rural Water Association’s WaterPro Conference in Savannah, Georgia! The winner was Dave Fagan with Monticello Utilities. Dave will be attending the NRWA conference in late September – all expenses paid thanks to these two wonderful sponsors! The WaterPro Conference is known as the national “Industry Event of the Year.” NRWA tries to uphold this standard by introducing new and informative sessions to the agenda, along with other exciting events. You can check out more information about WaterPro here - WaterPro Conference 2024 held in Savannah, GA | NRWA.

New to the Spring conference this year, the Alliance featured the introduction of a new competition, The Ultimate Meter Challenge, presented by Zenner USA.

Amongst impressive competitors from across the state, Jake Pool from the Town of Fowler emerged victorious, claiming first place. Competing three times throughout the conference, Jake qualified among the final four contenders, who battled it out on stage in front of conference attendees. With the fastest time, Jake showcased exceptional skill and proficiency, securing his win. In recognition of his achievement, Jake was awarded a $500 cash prize and a trip to Savannah, Georgia, where he will represent Indiana at the National Rural Water Association's WaterPro Conference this September. The Alliance will be covering Jake's travel expenses and Zenner USA will be taking care of his conference registration! At WaterPro, Jake will have the opportunity to compete in the national Ultimate Meter Challenge competition for the ultimate prize—an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.

Everyone at the Alliance, Covalen, Midwestern Engineers, and Zenner USA are excited for Melissa and Jake to have the opportunity to experience the NRWA conference! NRWA conferences are always packed with informative classes for water and wastewater operators, managers, and board members, along with the opportunity to socialize and discuss problems and solutions with peers and hundreds of exhibitors.
