Alliance of Indiana Rural Water, a non-profit organization based in Franklin, Indiana, has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Achievement in Training Award through the National Rural Water Association (NRWA), the nation’s largest water and wastewater utility membership association.
The Alliance was presented with this award at NRWA’s Annual WaterPro Conference held in late September in National Harbor, Maryland. This honor is presented each year to the rural water association that has excelled all others in their training services to the water and wastewater utilities they serve. There are 50 rural water associations, one in each state. Connie Stevens, Executive Director of the Alliance, notes “Education and training is one of the most important reasons we are in existence, and it is essential to our water and wastewater operators for maintaining quality of life in these rural communities. We are proud to share that we trained over 2,000 people this past year at our various events and training sessions throughout the state of Indiana.”
