2024 Scholarship Golf Outing & Clay Shoot Events

The 2024 Scholarship Golf Outing and Clay Shoot, held on Thursday, September 19th, were tremendous successes. We enjoyed beautiful weather for both events, and our members and supporters enthusiastically participated.

Clay Shoot at Atterbury Shooting Complex
The Clay Shoot was held at the Atterbury Shooting Complex in Edinburg, IN, with a perfect morning of coffee, doughnuts, and competition. Our top shooters of the day were:
1st Place: Abe Koehne
2nd Place: Travis Williamson
3rd Place: Matt Lentz
Last Place (with a smile!): Callie Wrede
Fun fact: Travis Williamson, our second-place winner, has two children who have received the AIRW Scholarship!

Golf Outing at The Legends Golf Course
Our Golf Outing occurred at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin, Indiana, with an impressive turnout of 24 teams. The course’s food truck provided delicious bites to energize the golfers throughout the day.
Congratulations to our top performers:
1st Place: Layne Christensen
2nd Place: BL Anderson Co.
3rd Place: Ortman
We also held our popular Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests:
Longest Drive Winner: Jim Mardis from the Town of Pittsboro
Closest to the Pin Winner: Justin Hawley of Brown County Water Utility, Inc.
Jeff Farmer of BFU Inc. took home the 50/50 raffle prize, while Brandon Butrum (Layne Christensen), Tim Hill (Peerless Midwest), and Ryan Brashears won the raffle for four rounds of golf from The Legends. Additional $25 gift card winners included Blake Butram, Sam Jacobi of Covalen, Gary with WSU, and JD Allman.
