Emerging Contaminants

This session covers 3 of the emerging contaminants listed by the Environmental Protection Agency in the Emerging Contaminants and Federal Facility Contaminants of Concern List.  The session will be broken into 3 sections.  Each covering: when the contaminant was discovered, where it is found, uses, effects on the population and environment, treatment, and disposal methods. The three emerging contaminants covered are PFAS, dioxane, and microplastics.
