Water Treatment Plant Operator - Town of Syracuse

Position: Water Treatment Plant Operator
Status: Full-time
Department: Public Works Dept.

Education Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma, college degree is not required but is a plus.

Other Requirements:
A minimum of a class WT-1 water operator license with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the water utility field. The ability to obtain a class WT-3 operators license within 24 months is desired. A class DS, DSM or DSL distribution license would also be desirable. Applicant should have current Indiana driver’s license. A CDL is also preferred but not required.

Job Duties:
Duties would include, but not be limited to: water sampling collection, lab testing, general labor, adjusting plant processes, plant maintenance and repair, reading meters, performing water related customer service orders. This is a day shift position with some revolving on-call responsibilities. Must be available to work occasional weekends and holidays. This position does not have responsible charge responsibility.
